Got Manna?

What are you grateful for today? The world wants us to believe we lack. The devil has been telling this lie from the beginning. He convinced Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge by leading her to believe God was holding out on her!! And she lived in a perfect world created by God just for her and Adam. It’s human nature to doubt.

Sunday, Pastor Dallas told us about God’s provision For the Israelites wandering in the desert. These people saw supernatural events daily. God literally placed a cloud in the sky to guide their journey and gave them a pillar of fire by night to see, and still they questioned God. He gave them food every day straight from heaven and still they complained!!

“And the mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly: and the children of Israel wept again, and said who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt, for nought; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks and the onions, and the garlic: but now our soul is dried away; there is nothing at all, save this manna to look upon.”(Numbers 11:4-7 NLT)

Doubting isn’t always about questioning God’s existence, but we question God’s will for us, His intentions, who He says He is, all the gifts He gives us!! We do this when we worry. We do this when we complain. We minimize our blessings and magnify our troubles.

Our perception is limited by what our eyes can see. But The gift of faith through King Jesus gives us supernatural vision.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1) God gives us faith and wants it to grow!

“For in the gospel, the righteousness of faith is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written ‘The just and upright shall live by faith.”(Romans 1:17 Amp)

The truth is that God has given us so much more than manna, the greatest gift, His Son Jesus, the bread of life!!

“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never go thirsty. “ (John 6:36 NLT)

We just have to open our spiritual eyes to receive all the gifts God wants to give us. Open our mouths to praise him. Open our mouths to pray to him. Open our Bibles to know his word. Open our hearts so He can write his words on them. Receive him and You will NEVER be hungry or thirsty!
