Better Together

Greetings, LIFECHURCH.LA! To The glory of God, we are experiencing a season of great growth. God is moving in a mighty way in our life groups! We thank God for everything he’s doing for us and through us. “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 NLT)

Church is so much more than a service. It's doing life together. It's helping each other, love in action. We are a family in the kingdom of heaven! We don't want any brother or sister to feel separated or isolated in this body. So please, "encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT)

We need to be connected to each other. In such a large body, it's easy to just come and go without building relationship. Life groups give us an opportunity to make church smaller, so to speak. If you are not already involved in one, you are missing out! God wants to bless you, through his body. Life groups are not just an extra activity, they are where the church lives together, a place to connect, protect and grow.

The Bible tells us the early church was a fellowship who met together in the temple AND in their homes! “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily, such as should be saved. “ (Acts 2:44-47 KJV) This scripture emphasizes the people were of “one accord” and “singleness” of heart. God wants to unify us, to prepare his bride! We don’t just go to church, we ARE the church. We are the body of Christ. Let’s go back to the beginning and come together.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1 NIV)
